Day 1 - Vienna – Airport pick-up
Departure from Vienna airport and the transfer to a hotel will be followed by some resting time after and flight and dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2 - Vienna – Ljubljana (400 km, 4 hours , 30 minutes)
After breakfast we will start our Vienna city tour. First we will visit Schönbrunn Palace which stands on a 60-metre-high hill, which was the main summer residence of the House of Habsburg. After visiting the Palace we will a take short city tour in the centre of Vienna where we will see the City Hall constructed in the nineteenth century in a Neo-Gothic style, Vienna State Opera built in the Neo-Renaissance style by a renowned Czech architect and contractor Josef Hlávka, Hofburg Palace which is nowadays an official residence and workplace of the President of Austria, the nineteenth century Austrian Parliament Building and, finally, Vienna University which is one of the oldest universities in the German-speaking world. Afterwards you will be transferred to a hotel in Ljubljana. These events will be followed by dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Ljubljana - Postojna – Udine (200 km, 2 hours)
After breakfast at the hotel we will check-out and drive to the city center of Ljubljana where we will see the Prešernov trg square which developed from a road junction in front of one of the city gates leading to medieval Ljubljana, the Town Hall, the fifteenth-century seat of the Municipality of Ljubljana, St. Nicholas Cathedral, a three-nave Romanic style church which earliest mention dates back to 1262 and was re-vaulted in the Gothic style. Later, you will have a chance to see Dragon Bridge adorned with famous dragon statues which appears in the most recognizable images of Ljubljana. If you haven't been photographed next to a Dragon Bridge dragon you can hardly claim that you have visited Ljubljana. The four dragon statues are a true masterpiece which has been stimulating people’s imagination since the bridge was built. Later, we will continue to Triple Bridge which consists of three separate picturesque bridges located next to one another. After sightseeing Ljubljana we will transfer to the town of Postojna which is famous worldwide for its underground caves and the nearby Predjama Castle. The Postojna Caves, one of Slovenia's most spectacular natural sights, consist of a 27-kilometre underground system of passages, tunnels, galleries and chambers with wonderful dripstones. After exploring the cave we will drive to a hotel in Udine. Dinner and overnight stay will take place there.
Day 4 - Udine – Venice – Florence (400 km, 5 hours)
Early in the morning after breakfast we will drive to Venice - the 'sinking city' admitted as a one of the most beautiful cities in the world with boasting romantic scenery, many historic attractions and wonderful serene canals. Venice was built on a Mediterranean lagoon and is filled with medieval history and cafes that haven’t changed since the eighteenth century. In Venice we will take full day of sightseeing tour around the city. First we will have to take cruise by vaporetto (water taxi) and we will pass the famous Venetian canals. Then we will visit Saint Mark Square with the most famous of the city's churches and one of the best known examples of Italo-Byzantine architecture St Mark’s Basilica. It lies at the eastern end of the Piazza San Marco, adjacent and connected to the Doge's Palace. For its opulent design, gold ground mosaics, and its status as a symbol of Venetian wealth and power, from the eleventh century on the building has been known by the nickname Chiesa d'Oro witch means Church of gold. After visiting Basilica we take a walk to the Bridge of Sighs - the name of it was given by Lord Byron as a translation from the Italian "Ponte dei sospiri" in the nineteenth century, comes from the suggestion that prisoners would sigh at their final view of beautiful Venice through the window before being taken down to their cells. After Venice city tour we will transfer for dinner and overnight in Florence.
Day 5 - Florence – Rome (330 km, 4 hours 30 minutes)
After breakfast we will head for Florence city centre where you will be able to see the following tourist highlights: Ponte Vecchio (the Old Bridge), the only bridge across the Arno River in Florence until 1218; Piazza della Signoria, the most important symbol of Florentine Republic which has been the center of political life in Florence since the fourteenth century with the prominent Palazzo Vecchio overlooking the square; Santa Croce church with frescoes depicting on one of the walls a well know scene of the Last Supper and St. Mary’s Cathedral, a magnificent Renaissance dome designed by Filippo Brunellesch. After visiting Florence we will drive to a hotel nearby Rome where you will receive dinner and stay overnight.
Day 6 - Rome – Pisa (350 km, 4 hours 30 minutes)
After breakfast we will drive to the center of the Eternal city. Rome is famous for being the home of the Ancient Roman Empire as well as its the Seven Hills, La Dolce Vita, the Vatican City and Three Coins in the Fountain. Rome lasting millennia as a center of power, culture and religion has exerted a huge influence over the world in its roughly 2800 years of existence. The historic centre of Rome is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With wonderful palaces, thousand-year-old churches, grand Romantic ruins, opulent monuments, ornate statues and graceful fountains, Rome has an immensely rich historical heritage and cosmopolitan atmosphere, making it one of Europe's and the world's most visited, famous, influential and beautiful capitals. Our sightseeing tour in Rome include the most beautiful highlights – The Colosseum – one of the new seven wonders of the world; the Arch of Constantine; The Pantheon; The Trevi Fountain; Spanish Steps; Roman Forum and Vatican City the area ruled by the Pope, supreme head of the Roman Catholic Church, at the Vatican City we will visit – St. Peter’s Basilica and St. Peter’s Square. After our sightseeing tour we will transfer to a hotel nearby Pisa where you will receive dinner and stay overnight.
Day 7 - Pisa – Milan (300 km – 3 hours 30 minutes)
After breakfast we will drive to Pisa where we will visit Piazza dei Miracoli where the four most important attractions of the city are located: Baptistry, a large, round Romanesque dome with many sculptured decorations such as Arabic-styled floor, a pulpit by Nicola Pisano and a fine octagonal front. Next, we will visit Compo Santo Monumentale, a huge cemetery building with lots of interesting art-pieces including a collection of ancient Roman sarcophagi and splendid Medieval frescoes. The next attraction will be Duomo di Pisa, a splendid cathedral which contains artwork by Giambologna, Della Robbia and other major artists constructed in Romanesque style with double aisles and a beautiful cupola. Finally, naturally, we will head for the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Afterwards, we will drive to Milan, a city famous for its historical and modern sights. Milan is also known as the city which truly enjoys worldly pleasures: shopping, football, opera, and nightlife. Our sightseeing tour will include the best of Milan – Piazza Duomo, Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, La Scala and Castello Sforzesco. After sightseeing we will have free time for shopping in Milano city center. Dinner and an an overnight stay in a hotel will be provided.
Day 8 – Milan – Zurich (300 km, 4 hours)
After breakfast we will head for Zurich, a metropolis offering numerous attractions, located next to a lake area with wonderful view on the snow-capped alpine peaks. We will walk through the old defensive ditch which over 150 years gradually changed into one of the most famous shopping streets in the world called Bahnhofstrasse. We will also take a look at the Old Town with old Romanesque and Baroque churches, beautiful houses, museums, art galleries and antique shops. We will also give you some time for shopping in the city center and trying the worlds famous Swiss chocolate. Dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel will be provided.
Day 9 – Zurich - Munich (400 km, 5 hours)
After breakfast we will drive to Munich, Bavaria’s capital city. One the way to Munich we will visit Neuschwanstein Castle which is also known as New Swanstone Castle. It is one of the most frequently visited castles in Germany and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. The castle is located in Bavaria, near the town of Fussen. It was built by King Ludwig the Second of Bavaria, also known as the “Fairytale King”. After visiting castle transfer to Munich city centre, where we will see Marienplatz where the fifteenth century church of the Blessed Virgin Mary is located which has been a central square in the city centre of Munich since 1158; St. Peter church from the eleventh century and Baroque Nymphendburg Palace which served as summer residence of Bavarian kings. The palace was commissioned by the prince-electoral couple Ferdinand Maria and Henriette Adelaide of Savoy to an Italian architect Agostino Barelli in the seventeenth century. Afterwards, you will have dinner at the hotel and spend the night there.
Day 10 – Munich - Salzburg ( 150 km, 2 hours)
This day will start with breakfast and our departure to Salzburg. We will drive to the city centre of Salzburg, one of the most beautiful and picturesque cities in Austria. We will take a walk around the Old town which in 1996 was included in the UNESCO world Cultural Heritage List. In the afternoon, we will continue our tour and see Archbishop’s Garden and Palace Mirabell, Abbey of St. Peter, the Cathedral of Saint Rupert, Residenzplatz and Mozart’s monument. At the end, we will take a walk at Getreidegasse, the oldest and the most charming street in the city. Afterwards, you will receive for dinner and leasure in the Old Town, followed by a transfer to the hotel and an overnight stay in Salzburg.
Day 11 – Salzburg - Vienna Airport (320 km, 4 hours)
The day will be devoted to breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Munich Airport according to your flight schedule.
